Yearning to escape the bitter cold of New York, we booked a last minute winter holiday in 2011 and jetted to Morocco. Looking for some R+R from the bustling city, we escaped to the Atlas Mountains, went off the grid (no phones or internet) and settled into a kasbah (a fortified citadel) in a tiny berber village over-looking the breathtaking Ourika Valley.
